So many unique garden/birding items. You could circle the place six times and you'd see something different each time! Got this trellis which was approved by my neighborhood owl!

OMG! How did I not know about this place? I could have spent hours just wandering around. So much to see and so many beautiful things. The staffs is so friendly. There to answer questions with a smile and friendly helpful attitude. I needed help loading my car and the gentleman who assisted me was so polite and genuinely caring. Totally awesome experience. If you need bird supplies and yard decor, this is the place to go. I will be back!

I love this place. Such a great selection and they are always very helpful and full of great information. We buy all our bird seed, bird seed towers and decor for our yard from here! We found the best hummingbird feeder from here, the best one we’ve owned. Such a great find, check it out it’s worth it. 💕

For those of us who love wildlife, this place is heartbreaking. They trap squirrels and dump them in Palmer Park no matter if orphans are left behind to wither and die, and no matter if the squirrels will not be able to survive in unfamiliar territory. The Humane Society, WildCare, PETA, and many other animal welfare organizations have said to "scrap the trap" and stop displacing wildlife. This Place Is For The Birds could obtain a secure outbuilding to store their seed, but they choose to trap and displace instead. I won't shop at This Place anymore. There are other bird seed stores that do not inflict suffering on squirrels. This Place Is For The Birds also misrepresented themselves when they applied for certification as a wildlife habitat (from the National Wildlife Federation). They got their certification and their sign, but there is no way trapping and displacing is part of maintaining a wildlife habitat! When I tried to discuss that with an employee, she became very terse with me -- wasn't open at all to considering humane treatment of wildlife in accordance with their habitat certification. An awesome and eclectic collection of outdoor decorations and food for wild birds, and in a really lovely setting. Lots of pretty expensive stuff, but many more affordable items, too. A little Wonderland well worth exploring. I'll let the pictures do most of the description (each being worth a thousand words and all...).
